Top 10 Shows + Albums in 2010

Top 10 Shows in 2010 + 1 from NYC (Chronological order)

This list is in order by date only, but this show was hands down my favorite show ever.  The openers were all incredible, and even though Jared was sick as a dog and coughing up his lungs on stage, 30 Seconds to Mars was incredible as well.  This is the kind of show where being in the front is absolutely necessary.

Find Vienna + Kingsfoil + Lucas Joseph Collective + Rivers Monroe + LizBeth Rose at World Cafe Live 12/23

Setting: Standing in front of the stage with only one other person, my brother.  I realize that there was seating available for this show, but I’m not sure why it took so long for people to come and join us near the stage.  Did you guys know that you were at a concert? Guess not… (By the way, it was completely sold out)

Jukebox the Ghost + Via Audio + Dynamite Walls at the First Unitarian Church 12/10

Setting: Sitting on stage watching and listening to Dynamite Walls’ sound check.  Sucks for all of you who had to wait out in the cold… Mmmm, warmth.

Chief + The Dig + Chamberlin at Kung Fu Necktie 12/6

Setting:  Sitting in a booth with the guys from The Dig, drinking, eating pizza and wings, while discussing veganism.  (I was not eating pizza and wings, just to clarify.)  It turns out these guys played with Hollerado a year or so back.  Small world, right?

Minus The Bear + Tim Kasher + Twin Tigers at the Electric Factory 12/3

Setting: Electric Factory parking lot. Two hours before doors. Anxiously dreading the arrival of fans and hoping they don’t come so that we can stay in the nice warm car instead of standing outside in the freezing cold.  Oh crap, here they come…  It was nice while it lasted!
