OK Go at Drexel University 5/18

Confetti, rain, parking lot, and college kids. That pretty much sums up the OK Go show that I attended last Saturday. OK Go headlined Drexel University's Spring Jam event. I'm not sure if it was a lack of organization or the weather, but I'd say there was a noticeably large lack of people in attendance. Or maybe there wasn't a huge expectation to begin with. Who knows? What I do know is that an energetic and entertaining set put on for a small yet enthusiastic crowd is a pretty cool experience.

30 Seconds to Mars | Church of Mars 5/13

This past Monday, 30 Seconds to Mars came through Philly for Church of Mars. They previewed scenes from their documentary, Artifact, showed the short film for "Up in the Air," and of course, played a live set consisting of old and new songs. Needless to say, I was a little excited to attend and photograph this event.

Foals at Electric Factory 5/4

The first time I saw these English indie rockers I had no idea who they were. I was there for the openers and didn't really understand all of the excitement, even after the show. My interest was peaked when they released this video. Almost two years later to the day, I found myself in a second chance situation, where I was helpless to have anything less than high standards.

Bad Books Recap via Tri State Indie

Last week I saw, reviewed, and photographed the Bad Books show at World Cafe Live for Tri State Indie. Check out my favorite photos from the show after the jump.

Imagine Dragons + Atlas Genius at Electric Factory 2/18

The first time I saw Imagine Dragons was last summer at the Radio 104.5 Block Party. Their live set packed one hell of a punch, and they were easily the best live band I saw last year. Where they may have lacked a little in the punch department Monday night, they made up for with lights, effects, and overall show.

[After rereading this, it probably doesn't make very much sense. I guess I just prefer Imagine Dragons without all of the extra stuff and just a stage with a piazza full of people.]

Walk the Moon + Pacific Air at the TLA 2/1

Holy crap, has it really been three months since my last post on here?? I'm probably the only one who's noticed or actually cares, but whatever.

Anyway, I ventured out in the painfully freezing weather last Friday to see Walk the Moon at the TLA. The four-piece indie rock band from Ohio has been busy making a name for themselves since I last saw them play with Grouplove. I knew this would be a good show, and the TLA is always fun to shoot at.

Norwegian Arms - Stream/Pre-Order Album, JUMP Philly Article with Additional Photos

Stream and pre-order the debut album, Wolf Like A Stray Dog, from the Philly folk duo, Norwegian Arms, here. I'm only a few songs in as I'm typing this, but I have no doubt that the rest of the album will be just as good. So go take a listen, and pre-order your vinyl, CD, and cassette copies now!

Currently Listening To: Foals, The Rescues, Ellie Goulding

Last week, I posted the latest video for Foals, and haven't been able to stop clicking replay (for the video and both of their albums). I'm not sure why it took me this long to get into this band, but I'm totally sold now.

Foals - "Inhaler" Video

I just want to watch this over and over again. The song, the video... Just so good. Mesmerizing. I can't even form complete and proper sentences to describe this. I saw Foals a year and a half ago at the TLA, and I don't think I really got it then. I mean, they were good, and certainly had the screaming and devoted fans a headliner usually has, but I just didn't get it.
